Day 01: Arusha to Loliondo – Journey into Maasai Land

After an early breakfast, your driver and Maasai guide will pick you up from your hotel and begin the scenic drive to Loliondo. On the way, you’ll enjoy beautiful views of the active volcano Oldoinyo Lengai and Lake Natron. The drive takes approximately 7 hours.

Once you arrive and settle in at camp, you’ll take a short hike into the nearby forests. If you’re quiet enough, you may spot the elusive Colobus monkeys swinging through the trees. On the return, there’s an opportunity to greet a local Maasai family in the neighboring village.
