Park - Day Trip
Day 1:
Arusha – Lake Manyara National Park
- In the early morning, we will collect you from your hotel in Arusha and drive you to Lake Manyara National Park. This scenic park lies along the northwest bank of the alkaline Lake Manyara, nestled within the Great Rift Valley. Known for its abundant birdlife, Lake Manyara is a paradise for bird watchers, with iconic species such as flamingos, pelicans, and cormorants, along with hundreds of other bird species.
- In addition to its avian wonders, the park also offers sightings of “Big Game” animals. With luck, you may spot elephants wandering through the woodlands or, with even greater fortune, encounter the park’s famous tree-climbing lions, a behavior unique to the lions of this area. The forested areas are home to baboons and vervet monkeys, while the more open spaces attract giraffes and various antelope species grazing among the shrubs.
- After a scenic picnic lunch in the park, we’ll continue with more wildlife spotting before returning to Arusha in the late afternoon.
