Itinerary

Day 1:

• Hike to Mandara Huts
• Morning Pickup: Your adventure begins with pickup from your hotel in Arusha, followed by a 30-40 minute drive to the Marangu Gate of Kilimanjaro National Park.
• Start of the Hike: Upon arrival, you’ll meet your professional mountain guide, who will provide a briefing on the hike. Enter the park and begin your journey through Kilimanjaro’s lush rainforest ecosystem, where you’ll encounter a variety of plant and wildlife unique to this environment.
• Hike to Mandara Huts (2,700m): Accompanied by your guide, hike to Mandara Huts, which offers a chance to experience the initial stage of the famous Marangu Route. This section of the trail takes around 3-4 hours and introduces you to the mountain’s diverse terrain.
• Lunch at Mandara Huts: Relax and enjoy a packed lunch at the Mandara Huts while taking in the serene atmosphere.
• Visit Maundi Crater: After lunch, take a short walk to Maundi Crater for stunning panoramic views of both Mawenzi and Kibo peaks, giving you a glimpse of Kilimanjaro’s summit.
• Descend to Marangu Gate: After the break, begin your descent back to Marangu Gate, where you will receive a certificate of completion.
• Return to Arusha: The tour ends with a comfortable drive back to your hotel in Arusha.
• End of Tour
