Day 1: Materuni Village Exploration

• Morning Departure: Your journey begins with a comfortable drive from your hotel in Moshi or Arusha to Materuni Village.
• Materuni Village Tour: On arrival, take a guided walk through the village to learn about the Chagga people and their way of life. You’ll wander past traditional homesteads and farms, where you’ll see various crops that the villagers cultivate alongside coffee.
• Coffee Experience: Participate in an interactive coffee-making session, from picking fresh beans to roasting and grinding them. End the experience by savoring a fresh cup of traditionally brewed coffee, prepared by the locals.
• Hike to Materuni Waterfall: After the coffee tour, take a short but rewarding hike through lush landscapes to reach Materuni Waterfall. This trail, surrounded by greenery and local villages, might get muddy, so good hiking shoes are recommended. Once you reach the waterfall, enjoy the refreshing views and, if you like, dip your feet in the cool mountain water.
• Return to Moshi or Arusha: After enjoying the sights and sounds of Materuni, you’ll return to your starting point, completing a memorable day in the heart of Chagga culture and nature.
